From Childhood Friends to Forever: A Love That Waited for the Right Time

We knew each other since I was in 8th grade and she was in 7th and her family moved here. We were friends immediately, and got along all through high school. She had a huuuuuge crush on me almost all the way throughout, but because we were immature and I was an idiot, I never pursued it. After high school, we had pretty similar friend groups, but we didn’t talk and interact like we used to. Friendly, but not friends. At the beginning of this year, she started telling people she was moving across the country and had bought a house there. I didn’t really think much of it at the time. Then, we happened to be at two events together about a month apart, and we just started talking. I remembered how easy she was to get along with, and how good of a relationship we had. But, she’s moving, so nothing can happen. She literally has a house. We started to hang out more and more, and I knew we had to talk. I didn’t know what the outcome would be, since she was moving, but I had to see. As I was thinking about what I was gonna say, I went through all the things that I appreciated about her, and thought, uh oh, I love this girl. This conversation better go well, otherwise I’ll be very sad. I talked to her, and she said she felt the same way, and that a part of the deal with her house fell through, and she was going to stay. I love that girl with all of me.
