I saw her at a party (Valentines Day) my junior year in college. I was blown away by her looks and thought I had zero chance with her. The most breathtaking girl i had ever seen. I asked her to dance anyway and she said yes. We danced a bit and laughed and talked then kind of went back to our respective groups. Later that same night, a slow song came on and I asked her to dance again. To my very pleasant surprise she said yes again and I held her in my arms, in heaven. At some point during the dance, our eyes locked and I just went for it. Went in for a kiss and she kissed me back - hard. I went home with her and spent the night at her place. I left the next day without any expectations. Didn’t even know her last name. I had several other dates in the meantime but always pined for her. I finally got the guts to ask someone in her complex what her last name was and I looked her up. We went on several actual dates and discovered a strong mutual compatibility and bonded pretty quickly. Fast forward nearly 40 years. We have been married 30+ and raised three great successful kids. I am amazed to this day how I landed such an awesome gorgeous, fit (marathon runner) talented (graphic artist) woman. Amazed.
